The short version

Your clients are pasting customer details into chatbots, recording meetings with AI note-takers and switching on AI features they have not read the terms for. They ask the people they already trust what to do about it. The Advanced course teaches you how to answer that properly under New Zealand law, using our vendor research as evidence. Your certificate can be checked by anyone on our public register, so a client can confirm it rather than take your word for it.

What you get with the Advanced certificate

• The course. AI Strategy & Selection for NZ Business, eight modules: what AI can and cannot do, where it is worth it, checking a vendor, getting the right terms in writing, your obligations under NZ law, writing an organisation AI policy, rolling it out, and keeping it safe over time. $295.
• The credential. The Advanced certificate names you as holding our AI Risk Assessor credential. It is our credential, awarded for completing the course and passing its assessment. It is not a licence or a registered profession.
• The register. Every certificate can be checked on Verify a Certificate. That is what you point a client to.
• Material for running a room. Foundations, a plain-language course on AI built to be taught to a group, and Trainer Trivia, sourced and dated conversation-starters for workshops. Both are open to current Advanced holders.
• The vendor research. Our profiles of what AI tools do with your data, tier by tier, each dated and sourced, for use as evidence with a client. See Methodology for how we assess them.

Training other people: the practitioner rate

Current Advanced holders get a practitioner-rate code. Anyone who uses it takes the Intermediate course and certificate for $25 instead of $55: your own staff, or the people you train. Each learner gets their own certificate in their own name, checkable on the same register.

What you charge for your own training, advice or workshops is entirely your business. We do not set it, see it or take a share of it. An Advanced certificate is current for 12 months. Recertification is $95 a year: you keep the same certificate number, the register keeps showing you as current, and your code keeps working. If the certificate lapses, the code stops.

What this isn’t

• Not a referral or commission scheme. We pay nobody for introductions or sign-ups. The practitioner rate is a lower price, nothing more. See our Affiliate Disclosure.
• Not a promise of income. We make no claim about what anyone will earn. That depends on you, your clients and what you charge.
• Not an accreditation. This is not a government or industry accredited qualification. We do not claim it is one. What it is, is checkable: anyone can verify a certificate against our register, which most training certificates cannot offer.
• Not legal advice. The course teaches what the law expects. Where a client needs a legal opinion, they need a lawyer.

The independence guarantee

Our vendor research and ratings are not influenced by who holds our certificates or who they advise. No practitioner, and no vendor, gets a more favourable rating on anything. The research is only worth using with a client because nobody can buy it.
