Affiliate Disclosure

How affiliate relationships work here, which ones exist, and why they never influence a verdict.

The current list of vendors AI Leakage has commercial relationships with, the form those relationships take, and how we keep verdicts independent of revenue.

The short version

AI Leakage may earn affiliate commissions when readers sign up to vendors we have evaluated favourably and that offer affiliate programmes. Where this is the case, the affected vendor profile carries a clear disclosure at the top of the page. The rating was set before any commercial relationship was considered. We do not link to vendors that fail our evaluation, regardless of how attractive their affiliate programme is.

How the relationship works

  • Vendor publishes an affiliate programme
  • We evaluate the vendor independently through our standard 12-section profile process
  • If the vendor rates 2 of 5 or better on the relevant tier, and the affiliate programme terms are reasonable, we may sign up
  • The vendor’s profile carries a disclosure at the top: “AI Leakage may earn an affiliate commission when readers sign up to [Vendor] through links on this page. The rating below was set independently of this relationship.”
  • The rating remains the rating. If new information makes us downgrade a vendor we have an affiliate relationship with, the rating moves and the disclosure stays. If the relationship becomes inconsistent with the rating, we end the relationship rather than soften the rating.

Current affiliate relationships

As of 24 May 2026. This list is updated when relationships are added or ended.

None active at present. AI Leakage is in pre-launch. Affiliate relationships will be added after launch on a vendor-by-vendor basis, only with vendors whose profile rating is 2 of 5 or better. This page will be updated as relationships are signed.

Likely first relationships, based on vendors currently rated 2 of 5 or better with established affiliate programmes:

  • Microsoft 365 Copilot (commercial tier)
  • Notion AI (Enterprise tier)
  • Asana AI (Enterprise+ tier)
  • HubSpot AI / Breeze (Professional tier and up)
  • Intercom Fin (Advanced tier and up)
  • Adobe Firefly (Enterprise tier with IP indemnification)
  • Xero with JAX (Standard tier and up; NZ-relevant)

This is a candidate list, not a commitment. We will only sign affiliate relationships where the vendor’s programme terms are reasonable, the verdict on the vendor is genuinely favourable on the relevant tier, and the relationship does not compromise our editorial position.

Vendors we will not link to

We do not currently have affiliate relationships with, and will not enter affiliate relationships with, vendors that:

  • Rate 3 of 5 or higher on the consumer tier (training-on by default with opt-out is the floor)
  • Are actively defending material litigation that goes to the heart of the product’s operation (currently: Otter.ai consumer tiers, pending In re Otter.AI Privacy Litigation outcome)
  • Have had recent policy regressions without remediation (e.g., training defaults flipped from opt-in to opt-out without prominent notice)
  • Have unresolved CVSS 8+ vulnerabilities at the time of evaluation

How this is different from sponsored evaluations

Affiliate commissions are paid by the vendor when a reader signs up; the vendor has no input into the evaluation. Sponsored evaluations are a separate arrangement where a vendor pays for our research time; the methodology and verdict remain independent, the sponsorship is disclosed prominently at the top of the affected page, and the vendor accepts the published verdict whether favourable or not. See the Methodology page for full terms on both.

Reader questions

If you are unsure whether a specific link on this site is an affiliate link, the convention is: links to a vendor’s homepage or sign-up page from inside a vendor profile may be affiliate; links to vendor security documentation, privacy policies, or third-party reporting are not. When in doubt, hover over the link — affiliate links typically include a tracking parameter in the URL.

If a disclosed affiliate relationship makes you uncomfortable with a profile, the relevant comparison is: would you trust the verdict more if it came from a vendor’s own marketing site, or from an AI safety researcher with an affiliate disclosure who has rated comparable vendors lower? The disclosure is the trust signal, not the absence of relationship.

Corrections

If you believe a relationship is missing from this page, or a disclosure is missing from a vendor profile that should have one, email hello@aileakage.com. We will investigate and correct within five business days.
